We start with a five minute warm up…qigong, stretching, breathing..followed by 40 mins of various Pranayama (yogic breathing exercises)..We start with 3-6 sets of stronger breathing exercises (Bhastrika), sitting in meditation in between sets, gradually moving into slower breathing exercises to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. We practice sitting (or lying) in meditation intermittently during this time. The last 15 mins we sit in silence together. A lovely way to share space together on a Thursday evening 🙂
